a choral Saturday...

I had to work OT on a Saturday? It's juz so ridiculous! Butasfor yesterday, it's no choice as it's my workplace's Family Day where the whole grp had to climb Bukit Timah hill early in the morn. I had to sacrifice my precious sleep juz to climb for 2 hours of OT. Well, the kids and i was taking it rather well when we climbed up. But this was not the case when we walked down. Many of us showed fatigue and i suffered painful soles as i walked down the hill.

After that i went home to rest and before long, i fell asleep. My hp rang and woke me up at 5.45p.m when wj rang to remind me of the choir concert we're supposed to go. Great, it was around 6.15pm that i got ready and reached city hall mrt by almost 7p.m. I met up with grace and wj at Marina Sq's Carl's Junior and quickly wolfed down some soggy cheese fries which was not even worthy of $6.20.

We went to watch this Finnish choir known as YL (which stands for Ylioppilaskunnan Laulajat) Finnish choir who performs with our SSO at Esplanade concert hall at 7.30p.m in the evening. The choir was pretty good esp when they sang with the orchestral backing. So clear and so strong. However, SSO needs more work in the way they end the movement and transit from one movement to another. Even wj and grace told me that the choir they went the week before was much better which made me wish that i had gone to that one instead. Frankly it'd be better if i can just hear the choir alone then...
