Sat - went to Soma songwriting & recording seminar for abt 2 hrs. Though not much info as i liked, I did manage to pick up some tips on songwriting & even the local music industry. I never even thot of going into e industry. Too commercialised & way-down standard standard for my taste... esp the Mandopop industry. I betta keep my thots regrding this matter to myself or i'll find myself restricted... But then i hope to put my songwriting chops into practice, hehe...
Well, after the seminar, Lis & i met up with Crapgal for dinner @ Secret Receipe. I loved the Chocolate Indulgence. Smooth in taste though not too chocolatey (i like tons of choc !) but stll delectable. Then we went shopping & i got myself a pair of turquoise big-ring earrings which costs only $2.90. Loved it !
I've been binging on food of late. Hungry, i eat... not hungry oso eat... Do you know that i ate more than 1/2 of a pack of chips aft a western dinner becos it wasn't filling enuff? Riz mentioned that it's a sign of insecurity. Ok, maybe i fit in that category....On top of that, my schwork got heavier and i'm coping badly with the stress. Recently i developed this intense disdain for this lecturer. Frankly, i don't think she knows anything abt the class or even the subject itself. Bah, dun even wanna think of her !
Sun - went to Little India on my own for my project approach on clothes. However, didn't managed to find much stuff on them except or some names. At Little Indian, i had a fulfilling Indian meal and even got myself a set of bangles for only $2 at a furniture shop & an Indian pop music cd at a classical Indian music shop for $10. Cheap buy eh?
The CD was nice and even had a short a cappella segment in the intro of 2 of the tracks. Wonder if Budak will take up my challenge in singing Indian songs. Currently, Salaam Namaste & The Best of Shah Rukh Khan is the most popular. Unfortunately there are no lyrics provided for any Indian music cd...
Guess what? i asked the shop owner regarding tabla and sitar classes. $50 for group, $100 for individual. Frankly, i loved the uplifting sound of the sitar and the percussive sound of the tabla and even considered learning both as an instrument.
