Ystd i went with wj to support my friend kim for his performance at ai qin hai Music Dreamer cafe. Then juz the nite before wj said that he wanted to sing at the Audience nite there & the song was Wen Rou by Mayday (my fave Chinese band! =))) ). I was to accompany him on the keyboard. Unrehearsed.
I didn't expect myself to go onstage to sing Chun Zhen (by Mayday again!!) as i was down with a sore throat juz a few days and have yet to recover.... But it was nerve-wracking as i fumbled thru the words as i couldn't see e lyrics well as my vision is usually blurred at nite. So i went twice to play keyboard for wj UNREHEARSED - wen rou & the reason (which sounded weird to my ears on plain piano). Despite only 3 tables which we each rotated in performing, the feeling was great !
Juz then jian li & ming yuan (aqh's singers) were there too & then i felt kinda shy. Jianli can really play the keyboard & sing at the same time well ! Cool ! Love the homey & warm atmosphere at aqh. Ya, i definitely will be there whether be it to watch the performance or audience nite... it'll be my one of my fave music haunts !
